I started Smith & Sorted after building a business of my own from scratch and realizing that the work wasn't what was taking up most of my time. It was learning, designing, and running the business itself.

My background is in healthcare, and I hold a Master's in Healthcare Administration, which means business planning, systems thinking, and operations aren't a side skill for me, they're my education and training. I've also spent years as a photographer, which turned out to be more useful to this work than I expected: a business isn't just its systems, it's also how it looks and feels to the people discovering it for the first time.

The part it took me a while to admit is that I often find that I enjoy the admin and operations more than the service it supports. There's something deeply satisfying about turning chaos into a system that just works.

I built Smith & Sorted so I can take what I love and use it for people who are exactly where I’ve been before.
